WWII Tropical Pith Helmet Khaki covered sun helmet with a puggaree that runs around the bottom of the outside torso of the hat. It forms a type of bow at the back just above the protective neck peak. On the left side of the helmet a tri coloured patch of dark brown white and reddish brown, has been attached to the puggaree midway between the front and the back. The interior bowl of the helmet is made up of one quarter inch thick layer of sola (Indian swamp growth) copper mesh and finally the fine straw-like mesh forming the inside liner of the helmet. A brown hand sewn leather sweat band encompasses the inner rim of the helmet. A small square paper label is affixed to it and reads, EXACT 7 1/8 59. A trangular paper label attached to the inner bowl of the helmet reads, Star Millinery, D-58, Municipal Market, CALCUTTA.

British Brodie Mk II Infantry Helmet Rough textured desert tan coloured helmet , possibly a North African issue with holes on neck brim for addition of neck flap (Havelock) for sun protection. Early model tan canvas webbing single loop strap with sliding buckle chin strap, with integral spring system at point of mounting, which attaches to each side of the helmet bowl. The mounting bracket is attached with a split rivet. The helmet rim weld has a long overlap, ending with a seam midway between the front and the back of the helmet. Inside the helmet eight black rubber buffers support a head band which is stamped 7¼ . Two bisecting rigid black compressed paper bands are secured by a single screw located at the very top centre of the bowl. Riveted to these bands and the interior bowl by four metal rivets, is a brown wool felt head cushion. The helmet rim weld has a long overlap. Inside the helmet eight black rubber buffers support a black oil cloth covered head band. Two rigid black compressed paper bands which are criss-crossed at the inner top and riveted to this headband forming a crown which is also secured by a single screw at the top of the helmet. A.R.P. Air Raid Precautions Helmet. It is marked DP&H - Department of Pensions & Health under the rim. These helmets are made of a mild steel and have spot welded chinstrap lugs that differentiate them from combat helmet bodies. Helmet which is made of mild steel and sprayed with a base coat of matte khaki paint, with a black metal screw at the top which secures the black oil cloth liner and head band. The chin strap lugs are spot welded with a khaki canvas elastic sprung chin strap and metal buckles secured to it. The helmet rim weld has a long overlap. Inside the helmet eight black rubber buffers support a head band with two rigid black compressed paper bands which are crisscrossed at the inner top and riveted to the headband all made of the same material, and secured by a single screw at the top of the helmet.

Ground Troops Parachutists Helmet liner with a woodland camouflage cover. A green cotton camouflage class 1 medium/large sized helmet cover for a liner that has eight black rubber spacers attached to the black oil cloth covered head band. The broad arrow marking is stamped on the inner side of this band next to the camouflaged fabric. The cover is made up of three sections, all with numerous slits to accommodate natural camouflage (twigs with leaves). Six green nylon straps with velcro on each end are attached around the rim of the cover.

Infantry Type I original U.S. Military Issue helmet liner for the M-1 steel helmet (steel pot). Matte olive drab helmet liner with an olive drab canvas webbing suspension that is held tightly within the M-1 helmet liner by rivets and a series of triangular "A" washers. Attached to this webbing suspension by metal clips, is a brown leather sweatband. On each side of the M-1 helmet liner there are two small metal posts attached by an external cap. These studs were for the fastening of the liner chin strap (missing). Canvas webbing underneath the sweat band reads, LINER, SOLDIER STEEL HELMET(INFANTRY) TYPE 1, 26 SEPT 68 DSA-100-69C-0757

MKII British Pattern Infantry Helmet. Metal helmet has been sprayed with a top coat of glossy olive drab paint over the original matte khaki green base coat. A black metal screw at the top of the bowl secures the black oil cloth liner and head band. The liner is stamped with, size 6 3/4, V.M.C. II 1942. Round rivets secure a khaki canvas elastic sprung chin strap with metal buckles. The helmet rim weld has a long overlap. Inside the helmet eight black rubber buffers support a head band with two rigid black compressed paper bands which are attached to a black rubber suspension crosspiece at the inner top and riveted to the headband all made of the same material, and secured by a single screw at the top of the helmet.

Luftschutz Air Raid Warning Service Helmet. Two piece gladiator style, dark bluish black in colour with two vents appearing on either side each holds an identical circular seven hole pattern. The Luftschutz Wing Decal appears on the front of the helmet, two outstretched wings behind a Swastika with the name Lufschutz floating above it and framed by four acorns. This civic model helmet with tan leather liner supported by three cork spacers is made up of eight fingers, one of which is stamped with the size description, 56. Each of these fingertips have a single small leather grommet on the inside of each drawstring hole for re-enforcement. An RB number, N19 or identification number which stands for the leather company that supplied the leather to the liner maker. The black leather roller buckle chinstrap is riveted directly to the sides of the liner band The leather liner backing material is wool felt which cushions the leather from the inner band. A descriptive gold lettered decal adhered underneath the back inner helmet brim reads, Vertrieb genehmigt gemäß § 8 Luftschutzgesetz Kopfweite: 56 Roughly translated, this phrase means, protector of the air laws, and the helmet head size, which is 56.
