A pair of black leather boots with the words "Biltrite Neoprene Cork Oil Resistant" on the soles. The boots are complete with laces and eyelettes, as well as belt buckles around the ankle of each boot. More writting on the heels of the boots are present but are worn down and illegible. Biltrite is an American manufacturing company but expanded into Canada in the early 20th century. It is possible that these boots were made in Quebec. Likely Military issue. Size unknown.

RAF 1943 PATTERN ESCAPE/FLYING BOOTS Black suede fourteen inch tall boot which is fastened by a vertical eight inch brass zipper stamped with a Broad Arrow which zips from the top to the bottom . Above the zipper at the top of the throat is a single leather buckle strap which fastens to a plain metal buckle. The inner lining is comprised of wool shearling with a small rectangular pocket sewn into the lining and located near the inner top of the boot which is meant to hold a retactable pen knife(not present). A black leather civilian style shoe with ten painted black metal eyelets is sewn to the base of the suede boot throat. The black laces with magnetic ends are not present. The smooth stitched leather soles have one inch stacked leather heels which are attached by hob nails.

RCAF BLACK LEATHER UNIFICATION ERA FLYING BOOTS. Black pebble grain leather uppers and throat with a half inch sole and one inch heel made of black neoprene rubber and cork. The bottom of the black sole is smooth with flecks of cork throughout. The size "11D" is stencilled in white along with a circular yellow disc with "NEO-CORK OIL RESISTING NEOPRENE" stamped within it. Fourteen black painted metal rivet eyelets with only the right boot having black cotton laces. present. Sewn to the top portion of the ankle boot collar is a black leather strap fastened by a black metal buckle. The insole is stamped with the manufacturer's code and the manufacter date, 1964.

WWI FUG FLYING BOOTS. Tan suede leather boots with an inner fleece lining. The shoe portion of the boot is reddish brown leather upper stitched to a smooth reddish brown rubber sole. A half inch rubber heel is stitched onto to the sole of the boot using a heavy gage thread. A brass fastening buckle with leather buckling strap is secured at the bottom of the sole and is designed to wrap around the front of the instep and fasten at the ankle. This boot is designed to cover knee and part of the thigh.

RAF 1943 PATTERN ESCAPE/FLYING BOOTS WITH HIDDEN PEN KNIFE. Black suede throat fastened by a vertical eight inch brass zipper stamped with the Broad Arrow. Above the zipper at the top of the throat is a single leather buckle strap which bears an identification stamp on the back and is attached to a plain metal buckle. A black leather civilian style shoe with ten painted black metal eyelets is sewn to the base of the suede boot throat. The black laces have metal lace ends which have since lost their magnetic qualities. It is not known whether these laces contain a hidden Gigli saw(special steel wire). The smooth stitched leather soles have one inch stacked leather heels which are attached by metal hob nails. Tucked into the wool lining of the right boot is a rectangular patch pocket where a small metal pen knife is hidden.

RAF AIR MINISTRY 1940 PATTERN FLYING BOOTS 22C/435-442 Pattern 1940 brown suede flying boots lined with thick sheep fleece. The boots are made in four sections, a piece covering the front of the foot, another around the ankles and heel and two pieces around the calf or throat of the boot. There is a strip of leather reinforcement sewn down the back seam of the boot. A metal eight inch Air Ministry stamped zipper is fitted to the front of the boot, running vertically from the instep to the top of the boot. An internal brown leather strip with the name "Mason", and "249" hand printed on it ,runs the length of the zipper to prevent it from catching, The "AM" stamp along with other unidentified marks are also present, but due to age and usage, have lost most of their detail. The soles of the boots are made of rubber which also covers the toe and heel area, and displays the manufacturer's details and the molded brand name 'ITSHIDE'. The toe and heel is covered with a rubber waterproofing material.

MESS DRESS UNIFORM BOOTS Black leather uppers with black elasticized gussets on the outer ankles. Two black elasticized pull straps have been fastened to the front and back of the interior top edge of the ankle boot. The heel is glued and nailed with small square metal nails.

U.S. AIR FORCES WINTER FLIGHT BOOTS TYPE A-6A Brown leather throat with a shearling lining on the inside. there is a gold insignia of a star with wings inside a circle and the name, "U.S. AIR FORCES" stamped on the left side of the left boot, and the right side of the right boot. The front of the boot has an eight inch "CROWN" spring loaded zipper which is also stamped with "MADE IN THE U.S.A." An identification tag is sewn onto the front of both outer boot tongues which reads, "SHOES; PILOTS WINTER FLYING TYPE A-6A , SPECIFICATION NO. 94-3081B, SIZE XXL-10½-11½, AF STOCK NO.8300-723221D, ORDER#AF33(038)-16406, BRISTOLITE". The bottom instep and heel area resembles a black rubber galosh which has been joined to the upper leather portion of the boot. The bottom diamond pattern forms strips across the sole of the boot and is stamped with, "XXL". A brown pilgrim style buckle is attached on both sides of the boot near the back, and is sewn into the seam where the rubber meets the leather.

BLACK LEATHER COMBAT BOOTS Black crushed leather with Twenty black painted metal eyelets in the front (laces not present). The interior of the boot is a soft yellow calf leather stamped near the top of the boot with "MADE IN CANADA" and other identifying information. The boots are a size 10D and bear the Greb logo on the bottom of the soles .

BLACK LEATHER STANDARD ISSUE COMBAT BOOTS A quarter inch stitched rubberized sole with a one inch rubber horseshoe imprinted heel which is attached with small metal nails, is stamped on the sole with, "HOLTITE DELUXE". The boot size is 8½ D. The inside of the boots are stamped with "EAGLE" and "1945".

RAF 1936 pattern flying boots 22C/80 with all leather sole and rubber heel. Worn by Battle of Britain fighter pilots and were the footwear of choice for many flyers throughout World War II. Made from sturdy chromed black leather lined with thick pile fleece, these boots include pullers sewn inside allowing for pull-on style. A tightening strap and buckle across a shallow V-shaped opening at the very top front.

The overshoe is triple stitched to the throat and made of vulcanized black rubber and a diamond patterned sole with the GP logo pressed into the arch of the sole. The inside of the boot is lined with discoloured shearling. Broad Arrow C stamped on the inside of the vertical tongue. Size 7.

The boot interiors have a wool shearling lining. The bottom instep and heel area resembles a rubber galosh which has been joined to the upper leather portion of the boot. The bottom diamond pattern sole of the boot is stamped with, "SIZE 12", and "MINER RUBBERS MADE IN CANADA".

RCAF WINTER FLYING OVERBOOTS Brown leather throat with a black rubber galosh type shoe triple sewn together at the vamp. Black nine inch "LIGHTNING" zipper fastened vertically at the front of the boot.The inside is completely lined with a soft off white synthetic pile material. The bottom of the outer sole has a diamond pattern tread with the "MINER CANADA" logo and the size"9" imprinted in the arch.

RCAF SHEARLING FLYING OVERBOOTS. Black leather throat with a front opening fastened by three leather strap with metal rivets and metal buckles. The overshoe is triple stitched to the throat and made of vulcanized black rubber and a diamond patterned sole with the number nine stamped in white ink onto the arch of the sole.The toe has a reinforced black diamond pattern rubber toe protector. The inside of the boot is lined with off white coloured shearling. Size 9.

PAIR OF BLACK LEATHER FLYING BOOTS. Pair of black leather flying boots from Unification Era. The upper part of the boot has a leather strap and black painted metal buckle for securing the ankle. Seven pairs of black painted rivetted eyelets with black cotton laces along with a large metal lightning zipper form the front part of the boot. A black one inch rubber heel is attached to the heel using glue and small metal nails. Boots are size11E.
