Description

German Infantry Long Dress Bayonet. Blade is highly polished with a double fuller, or blood groove. The Ricasso is stamped with TIGER SOLINGEN on one side and the cypher on the opposite side consists of a stylized depiction of a prowling tiger. The crossguard has one quillon which is swept back toward the nickel plated eagle head pommel. The press stud which is located on the cypher side of the pommel, is still operational. Two black bakelite diamond pattern grip plates are fastened by two rivets just above the eagle head pommel. The press stud on the side of the pommel is still operational, but the felt slug is missing from the pommel. The metal scabbard has retained almost all of its black paint, with no dents on the ball.
