Description
NAVAL NAVIGATIONAL COMPASS TYPE 06 WITH STOWAGE CASE. The navy grey metal compass is designed with a light feature. Mounted on a five inch hollow wooden handle which also houses the batteries. The reference number 6A/0.473 is stamped in white print on the frame of the compass face. The mahogany case with a metal latch closure is attached to the front of the case and and front of the lid. The case measures 10½" tall X 5½" wide X 5½" deep and was built using dove tailed construction. A tan canvas handle strap is attached on each side by two brass slotted screws to carry the box.
