The Aiwa M18 is a 1950s crystal microphone intended for home use. Table top version, metal "pill" style blue Aiwa label on one side, red on the other on/off switch on base of stand red dust cover with black writing reads: "Shure, the Mark of Quality in Microphones ans acoustic devices"

Aiwa was a Japanese consumer electronics company, founded in 195. Aiwa had a number of electronics 'firsts' including: Japan's first cassette tape recorder, Japan's first stereo cassette deck, the first company to manufacture digital audio tape (DAT) products, the first to market a recording headphone stereo, and leading in mini systems.
