Description
Headset manufactured by Permoflux Corp. in Chicago. Comprise of a metal frame and right and left ear pieces with brown leather padding along two head bands that separate for fitting. Earpieces are painted black with fabric padding against ears and protective rubber to outside. Red PL-354 audio 1/4" male connector commonly used for low impedance headsets (aprox. 600 Ohms) The black extension audio 1/4" male connector marked "PL-55" is a bailout cord, used to extend headset cord and not allow for hang up when ejecting aircraft. metal ear pieces are marked with: PERMOFLUX CORP. ZA/CAN 5114 CHICAGO USA PATENT APPLIED FOR Rubber protective ear coverings have raised markings that read "FRONT" along the front edge and "44D8644" along rear edge.
