Provenance
The Sparrow missile was developed by an American company, Douglas Aircraft Company. Canadair was given the contract to develop the Sparrow II in Canada under license from Douglas, coinciding with the development of the Avroe Arrow. The Sparrow II was the selected weapon platform for the Avro Arrow. Missile sections recovered at CFB Borden in 2008 by Notra.
