Grouped with other artifacts returned to family after death of 2nd Lieutenant Jacob Ernest Mott during WWI.
2nd Lt. Jacob E. Mott trained as an observer at the School of Military Aeronautics in 1917. On August 21 he was assigned to No. 21 Squadron RFC with two Corps on the Ypres, France line. 2nd Lieutenant Jacob E. Mott was killed in action on 23 December 1917.
