pentagon shaped pin for the Canadian Aeroplanes Limited company. Pin has a silver coloured prop in the centre with "War Munition" on a blue field. Along the top edge reads "Canadian Aeroplanes Limited" against a white filed. Beneath the prop is the number "497".

the Canadian Aeroplanes Limited company was started by the Imperial Munitions Board in 1916 for the manufacture of aircraft. Taking over the Toronto Curtis plant the company manufactured mainly the JN-4 Canuck.
