Provenance
Donor is friends with Wilfred Farrance and his children. Farrance gave the donor this table and chair years ago when cleaning out his house, and donor decided to donate it for similar reasons (i.e. not enough space and has his own drafting table as well). Wilfred or "Wilf" Farrance was Avro's Section Chief of Design, one of the original "first" Avro Employees who worked in the facility from 1941-1959. Among other things, he designed the cockpit of the ill-fated Avro Arrow. According to the donor, Farrance took this drafting table from Avro's facilities when he left the company.
