Description
Warner tachometer manufactured by Stewart-Warner Speedometer Corporation Chicago USA. Patented K3. Red tag attached showing date of 3/11, Model 61K, error allowed: + or - 7 rpm, certified by (unintelligible initials) followed by date of 3/11. It was used on the Curtiss Canuck aircraft. The JN-4 (Can) Canuck was a Canadian modification of the Curtiss JN-3 trainer, developed to meet Royal Flying Corps specifications. It was also fitted to automobiles such as the Stutz Bearcat, the Mercer Raceabout and other pre-war racing vehicles.
