Description
This a small light blue backpack used by Frances June Matthews during her WWII service in the RCAF. The pack is of sturdy construction and of a military-like appearance although it is totally devoid of any military or manufacturer's markings. The snap fasteners on th flap and the snap hooks and associated hardware are quite sturdy. There is a reinforcement panel of fabric where the shoulder straps are sewn to the body of the pack and the name BONNEY F followed by W - 31/41D and the date 3/43 are inscribed in black ink.
