Canadian Memorial Cross with "G VI R" in the centre. "SGT. Observer D.H.Kurtz R-75874" engraved on the reverse. Comes with plaque that reads, "FS D.H.Kurtz R.C.A.F Died in his country's service 1 Aug 1942."

Was the property of 21 year old Dennis. H. Kurtz. Part of the overseas air crew in Europe. He was an Air Observer in the #16 Operational Training Unit who was killed in aciton on August 1, 1942. Shot down at Eindhoven, Holland. He is buried in Woensel General Cemetary, Eindhoven, North Brabant, Holland.
