Description

A collection of letters written to Olive Creasor by friends and family while Creasor served with the R.C.A.F. Two postcards and a Christmas card are also included in the correspondence. The Christmas card is from an R.C.A.F. friend, post war who's writing reminisces of their days in the service together.

Olive was born in Parry Sound, Ontario and moved to Hamilton in 1929. She joined the R.C.A.F. in 1943 and trained as Wireless Operator in Montreal and later taught wireless to Air Gunners on stations in Ontario and Quebec. After discharge from the RCAF, Olive returned to teaching in Hamilton as well as with the Big Sister Association for six months. She attended night classes at McMaster University and summer classes at University of Toronto and in the fall of 1946 took a two year course in Social Work.
