Provenance

Otis retooled its manufacturing plant to produce Bofors Anti-Aircraft guns 1941. These weapons were high-performance and modern, firing 125 rounds per minute to a height of 20,000 feet. The first anti-aircraft gun ever produced in Canada rolled off the Otis assembly line on August 21, 1941 and by March 26, 1943, the Otis Ordnance works held a ceremony to mark the 15,000th heavy gun produced in Canada.
