De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited
De Havilland Aircraft of Canada was founded as a subsidiary of England’s de Havilland Aircraft Company in 1928. Examples of DHC aircraft can be seen in our museum hangar such as the wartime trainer Tiger Moth, which was produced at De Havilland's Downsview facility in Canada during World War II. The Mosquito, a multi purpose aircraft was also produced at the Downsview facility. The post-war trainer DHC-1 Chipmunk followed in 1946, de Havilland Canada’s first all-Canadian design.
