Description
A hand-carved wooden model of a German Luftwaffe aircraft from World War II. The model comprises 6 pieces which are fitted together with small metal pins into small holes of each piece. C-shaped stand fits between two wooden parts at base of stand.

Provenance
This model was carved by a German Luftwaffe prisoner of war who had been captured in North Africa and held at P.O.W. Camp 132, Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. It was purchased at the P.O.W. camp canteen for $10 in June 1946.
