There is a small sheet at the top pinned by a screw to the rest of the document stating, "119 (B) Sqaudron", assuming that is the squadron Royden Foley was in.
Page one states, National defence headquarters (R.C.A.F.) Operation order NO. 327138, copy NO was blank but has "10" penciled on top of the space for a number. Document states certain selected officers and airmen of non-permanent Active Air Force Squadrons have been recommended by their respective District officers commending to attend a short photgraphic course at the Photgraphic Establishment, R.C.A.F. Station, Ottawa ON. The intention is to conduct a short photographic course for officer and airmen of the non-repayment Active Air Force during the period October 17-29th, 1938. The C.O., R.C.A.F. Station in Ottawa is to arrange a short course for them, involving sqaudrons: 110 (AC), 111(CAC), 112(AC), 118(B), 119(B), 120(B). A maximum of 60 hours of flying is authorized, planes supplied.
Page Two: States there are written examinationas at the end of the course along with practicals. The officers/airmen attending will draw the pay of their rank, under Articles 153(1) and 163, P and A Regs. Pay is then charged to the respective District Allotments, R.C.A.F. Transport, travelling subsistence allowances are under Articles 90, 91, and 92(2). Officers/airmen attending the course will be required to live and claim subsistence allowances under Article 92(2). Qaulification reports are to be submitted to N.D.H.Q. on completion of the course, in accordance to Administrative Order A.42/13 and to Headquarters, Military Districts NOs 2,4,10,12 and officer commanding, Western Air Comman, as required by Administrative Order A.51/7- this was written at 1600hours.
