Description
The RAF Mark III, commonly referred to as the “Battle of Britain” goggles, were utilized during the early stages of World War II, particularly when the Royal Air Force engaged the Luftwaffe in aerial combat over England. They feature brown leather frames with black-painted brass or metal surrounding the cellulose lens. The back of the leather strap is marked with A.M (Air Ministry) and item code 22C/69.
