Outfit, Anti-dimming, MK VI Two gold screw top metal containers, dated 3/42, 5/42 No. 342 I is stamped in black along with the date on the bottom part of the container The lid of the container has the intructions printed in black and reads as follows, OUTFIT ANTI-DIMMING MKVI. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE. WET THE FINGER TIP AND MOISTEN THE INNER SURFACE OF THE EYEPIECE. RUB VIGOROUSLY WITH THE CLOTH PROVIDED UNTIL THE SURFACE IS CLEAR AND DRY.

Anti-dimming outfits were used to prevent condensation in respirator eyepieces. The compound was applied to the inside of the eyepiece and caused the moisture to form a clear film which did not interfere with vision.
