Description
German Infantry Long Dress Bayonet. The blade fuller, or blood groove still with the leather buffer still intact, bears the Weyersburg Kirschbaum & Company helmet logo and stamped WKC. The hilt with its red felt slug denoting an infantry affiliation, has two black bakelite diamond pattern grip plates fastened by rivets just above the eagle head pommel. The press stud on the side of the pommel is still operational. The crossguard has one quillon which is swept back toward the pommel.
