The aircraft pictured was flown by Flt. Lt. David Lord D.F.C., was lost on the third day of the Arnhem operation. Flt. Lt. Lord, despite an uncontrollable fire abaord, completed his supply dropping mission before crashing within the dropping zone. Only one crew member survived, David Lord
