This medal was awarded to all full time service personnel of the Armed Forces, wherever they were serving, provided that the duration was at least 28 days regardless if they were operational or non operational. The obverse included the crowned head of King George VI with the usual legend surrounding, while the reverse contained a lion standing on a dragon that is lying on its back.
