Description
silk tablecloth made from a parachute. Hand embroidered by Mrs. Geisbert of Holland and given to Siegfried Tiefenbach when he was stationed in Holland during the war. Siegfried Tiefenbach was a Dispatch Rider with the 3rd Division 9th Brigade-30 British Corp with the First Canadian Army throughout Europe, especially in Holland, Belgium, Germany and France. He was wounded and returned home. Siegfried was born in Saskatchewan but made his home in Hamilton, ON after the war with his wife and 3 children.
