Provenance
Toolbox was handmade by the donor, Shireen Tarbutt nee Harding. In order to be hired for a job at Massey Harris during wartime, perspective employees were asked to make a toolbox as a "test". Mrs. Tarbutt worked at Masey Harris putting fittings onto aircraft gastanks. The Canadian division of Masey Harris produced wings for Mosquitos, Stuart tanks and naval gun mounts.
