Provenance
Donated by the wife of Donald Nelligan who was an American citizen who joined the RCAF before the USA entered into WWII. Nelligan served with 428 Squadron as an Air Gunner on Lancasters. Approximately 9000 American citizens joined the RCAF at the beginning of WWII and 800 were killed during their RCAF service.
