BLACK LEATHER COMBAT BOOTS Black crushed leather with Twenty black painted metal eyelets in the front (laces not present). The interior of the boot is a soft yellow calf leather stamped near the top of the boot with "MADE IN CANADA" and other identifying information. The boots are a size 10D and bear the Greb logo on the bottom of the soles .

Provenance
It was the Second World War that really launched Greb Shoes, as it was commissioned by the Armed Forces to provide combat boots for the troops. “We outfitted the first Canadian division to go overseas,” Greb said. “They had to wait for shoes before they got on the ships.” The post-war period is when Greb first got involved with the business. The late 1940s were a turbulent time for the company and they didn’t regain their foothold until the 1950s.
