Dorothy Berry worked in the Woodworking Department of the factory where the tail sections of the Fleet made Cornell aircraft were built.

Dorothy would use a plane tool to remove thin strips from a piece of wood to create a smooth and level surface. Her training and skill as a woodworker was essential for the production of the many aircraft produced at Fleet Aircraft Limited.
Dorothy Laidman (nee Berry) was a volunteer at Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
